Use the app to put your product in pairing mode.

If your headphones are set up in the Bose app, you can use it to connect to a device.

To enter pairing mode:

  1. In the Bose app, tap the Source button.
If a different product is shown, tap the My Bose icon icon in upper-left, select the desired product, then tap the Source button.
  2. Select Bluetooth.
  3. Tap Add New to make your headphones available to connect to a Bluetooth device.

Connecting using the Bluetooth menu on your device

You can store up to eight devices in the headphone device list, and the headphones can be actively connected to two devices at a time (multi-point connection). You can play audio from only one device at a time.
  1. With the headphones on, press and hold the Bluetooth/Power button.

    • You’ll hear a power-off tone and see the status light blink white twice.
    • Keep holding the button until you hear the "Discoverable" tone and the light blinks blue.

  2. On your device, enable the Bluetooth feature. The Bluetooth feature is usually found in the Settings menu.
  3. Select your headphones from the device list.
NOTE: Look for the name you entered for your headphones in the Bose app. If you didn’t name your headphones, the default name appears.
Once connected, you hear the "Connected" tone and the status light glows solid blue for 10 seconds.

Note: Prior to February 2026, the headphones had different prompts. If you still hear prompts like "Ready to Connect" and "Connected to <device name>, please update your headphones first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any additional features I should know about?

5.1 Spatial Audio

5.1 Spatial Audio is a new feature that is only available on certain compatible Android devices. Because support is device-dependent, not all Android devices can use this feature.

Spatial Audio can typically be enabled through the device's native Bluetooth settings. To do this, select the Bose product from the list of connected Bluetooth devices and open its settings. On some devices, you can also enable the feature by searching the device settings for terms such as "Spatial Audio" or "Dolby Audio."

Once enabled, playback requires content with a true 5.1-channel audio track. Some streaming and movie apps provide compatible content. The headset automatically processes the 5.1-channel audio from the source to create a spatial listening experience.

This experience is similar to Bose Immersive Audio when head tracking is enabled, although the spatial effect is derived directly from the source's 5.1-channel audio.

For an example of how to enable and use Spatial Audio on Google Pixel devices, see: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/12967594?hl=en.
